Torrevieja is situated south of Alicante, accessible within approximately 30 minutes along the coast road or motorway and is situated approximately the same distance from Murcia airport which is also accessible by motorway and coast road.  Torrevieja is a thriving, all year round, resort with two large salt lakes one of which is now designated a natural park area.

 The main town has a large selection of shops and a superb marina with an abundance of restaurants of all types and nationalities.  There are many fine beaches within the area along with small coves that are well worth visiting, being only a short drive away.  For the sports enthusiast there are 5 superb golf courses all within approximately 20 minutes drive of Torrevieja as well as the usual water sports, tennis, gymnasiums etc.  There is the recently opened Habeneras Shopping Centre with shops such as Zara, C & A and H & M etc.  Close to the property are several large supermarkets including Aldi selling everything required to stock up with, especially a wonderful selection of wines!

It is an advantage to have a car to visit some of the lovely places within the surrounding area.  Within walking distance is a variety of local restaurants, bars etc.  There is a large water park which is only approximately 15 minutes walking distance from the property.  The famous Pacha nightclub is also handy for dancing into the early hours.

If shopping is for you the town centre has a large selection of clothes and shoe shops and on the main sea front promenade there is a lively evening market with an abundance of stalls and a funfair for children.  Every Friday morning Torrevieja has its own street market which also is only a short walk from the property (approximately 25 minutes).
